Dzogchen Pointing Out and Carrying On Instruction, from the radical Dzogchen perspective, is for both beginners and old hands alike because the Trekcho view never ages or matures and is always accessible to whosoever has applied aspiration and is ready and willing. This stripped down Dzogchen, strictly according
to the lineal transmission, is the one that bypasses Tibetan culture.
A profound inclination towards Dzogchen is the only real requirement.
In 1966 Keith Dowman traveled from his native England east to India where he began his journey of Buddhist practice and his career as a Tibetan translator. A partial list of his important translations include Calm and Clear, The Divine Madman, Sky Dancer, Masters of Mahamudra, The Flight of the Garuda, and Natural Perfection.
Among his many illustrious teachers he counts Kanjur Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche, Tulku Pema Wangyel, Tarthang Tulku, Chimme Rikdzin Rinpoche, Choegyel Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, and HH the 16th Karmapa.
Keith leads Buddhist meditation retreats and workshops in Europe and the Americas and has gained a reputation for his direct approach to Vajrayana Buddhism and Dzogchen, free of cultural trappings, ritual, and jargon.
For more information on Keith and access to his online writing and books, go to www.keithdowman.net
Additionally, both Snow Lion and Amazon carry many of his books.
